land to her son Benjamin.  Tradition connects this family with NC.  Lists 269b,
290.  He was dead by 20 Jun 1714 when his wid had 6 ch bp in Wells Church which
she joined 18 Oct 1719.  Children:

the Indians Jeromkin, Daniel, & Robin, a tract of about 600a at Topsham 20 Jun
1670, and lived there until Philip's War when he went to Cape Porpus; sold out
there (1/2 a swa-mill to John Batson & land to Isaac Cole) 1682-84, having
obtained a grant and built a house ar Mussel Cove (Falmouth Foreside) before
1680; by 1686 he had built a garrison on 100a at No Yarmouth, for which he
petitioned for title in 1688; lists 191, 214, 259; war drove him to Goucester
where he d 17 Mar 1717-8 ae c73; his widow Hannah (m before Jun 1676) d 28 Nov
1724; his will 15-27 Mar 1717-8 lists children.  Children:
  a) Samuel - liv Ipswich; 54 in 1731 when he deposed about Falmouth before
1691; 81 in 1759 when he testified about the attack on the Bracketts in 1680;
taken prisoner at the fall of Casco Fort in 1690, he remained in Canada until
Jul 1700, having for 2 yrs cut masts for the French Navy (list 99, pp 74, 208);
he m1 21 Feb 1705-6 Mary Dutch who d 16 Apr 1709; m2 intentions 27 Oct 1711
Mary Potter; d Jun 1767; his father had entered an East Cl for the Topsham land
in 1715, and he obtained a grant of 300a in 1721 in satisfation thereof; he had
