1888 - C P Holmes was paid $18.75 for work on roads & bridges in Nottingham
[Nottingham Town Records].
1890 Feb 13 - affidavit of Charles P Holmes ae 57 & John L Holmes ae 46 both
of Nottingham NH states that they knew Noah W Holmes for 30 yrs; that they
examined the family Bible now in the possession of Lucia A Holmes and found the
following births recorded to Lucia A & Noah W Holmes: Nora V Holmes b 18 Mar
1867, and Forrest E Holmes b 25 Apr 1871; that NWH & LAH never lost any
children by death; that they were not believers in infant baptism, and hence,
there were no baptismal records [CW Pension file of Noah W Holmes].
1897 - A F Holmes ($0.75), C P Holmes ($0.70), and L W Holmes ($2.55) were
among those paid for snow bills for the spring of 1896 in Nottingham
