Nathaniel Lamos, see Edward Lamos of Ipswich, Mass., who came in the ship
'Susan and Ellen' in 1635, aged then 24, was taxed in Dover as early as 1672
and also in 1688. He is called Lommox, Lamox, Lamos, etc. 'Old widow Looms'
died 2 July 1706, according to Pike's Journal. He married Deliverence Clark,
as is shown by the baptism of their daughter in Canada, who was captured by
Indians near Bunker's garrison in 1707, and baptized as Elizabeth, d/o
Nathaniel and Deliverence (Clark) Lomax.
Nathaniel Lamos, see above, married Abigail, d/o Mark Giles of Dover. They
sold land to Philip Chesley in 1721. The following children are named in his
will, 1 Aug 1767 - 31 Aug 1768, when he was of Madbury. See also the Friends

1673/06/24 - Nath Lum'ack was a witness when Welthian ye wife of Jno Symonds

1681 - Nathaniel Lumocks appears on the Oyster River tax list; he was not on
the lists for 1661, 1662, 1663, or 1666 [Hist Durham 1/11].
1685 - Nathaniel Lamos signed a petition to the King with other residents of
Oyster River [Hist Durham 1/12].
1703/04/09 - reference is made to land of Nathaniel Lamos in laying out a
road in Oyster River; mention is made that Abraham Clark lived near the
boundary line between Oyster River parish and Dover proper, now Madbury [Hist

1707/05/22 - Two young Girls were carried away by the Indians from Bunkers
Garrison at Oyster-River, viz the Daughter of Tho: Drew (near 13 years old) &
Daughter of Nath'l Laimos (much younger). This was the first mischief done by
