wife/o Gideon Mathes - d 16 May 1763 ae 28y (d/o Nathaniel & Mary Randall
above).  Next in this row are two stones marked "M R" & "A R", Miles Randall, b
c1721, d 1791.  He lived in the garrison house in Lee & married Abigail, d/o
Job & Hannah (Huckins) Runnels.  She d c1784 ae 67y.  Miles Randell had a 2nd
wife, Deborah when he died.  See Hist Durham p 313.
  He signed the test in Lee NH.
  Capt Nathaniel Randall lived in the garrison as did his son Miles Randall.  
"A man of energy & ability who was made a country magistrate by the Exeter
authorities in 1775.  At the time of the Revolution he obtained a large
quantity of niter and stored it beneath the garrison.  He sent it to the
Committee of supplies for the manufacture of gunpowder.
