MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS:
Caleb Buswell - b Grantham 1795; his parents were originally from Concord;
he became a physician before he was ae 21y after grad from the medical college
in Hanover; settled 1st in Sunapee where he held the office of Town Clerk &
Selectman; settled at Warner in 1820 where most of his short professional life
was spent; in 1825 he was apptd surgeon of the 40th Reg NH Militia from which
he resigne dtwo years later; he served as moderator in Warner & also as
representative to the State Legislature; in 1828 he & family moved to Newport
after selling his practice to Dr Leonard Eaton, one of his students in Warner;
while on a visit with his family in Aug 1828, he d of a fever at Waterford NY
at ae 33y; he had a brother Hiram Buswell of Warner; his only child married Rev
King S Hall of Lake Village [Harriman, The History of Warner, New Hampshire,
1879, p310, 333-4, 459].

Masons. The lodge was former in Warner in 1819, and ceased to function shortly
