Dr. Moses HILL

FAMILY RECORD:
  Dr Moses Hill - b Warner 5 May 1805 s/o Benjamin Hill b Hopkinton & Mary
Hoyt of Hopkinton; he taught school as young man at Salisbury Academy & then
studied medicine there with Dr Peter Bartlett; he grad Dartmouth College 1831 &
immediately started a practice in Chichester; removed to Northwood 1832; he
marr in Northwood to Elizabeth B Clark (d/o David Clark Esq); in Jul 1844 he
removed to Manchester NH; sailed to CA via Cape Horn in 1849 & returned 1852;
in 1857 he removed to Burlington IA; he d 1875 in his 70th yr near east baton
Rouge LA; his wid res in Burlington IA with or near her two daus; Dr hill took
part in the creation of the Cong church in Northwood, two Cong churches in
Burlington IA, and a Presbyterian ch in LA. Children:
  a) Margaret - b 8 Jun 1835; m 5 Jan 1859 Joseph Neally of Burlington IA &
liv there.
  b) Mary Frances - .
  c) Elizabeth C - b 26 Oct 1843; d 22 Jan 1867.
