[??????????????Are there any other Yorks mentioned in the estate of Jonathan
Wadleigh of Brentwood who was dead by 1767? It appears that David York is the
son of this Richard & Rachel York, but proof is lacking. Since this Richard
York was dead by 1811, he is clearly not the one who died in Epping in 1821.
Since Richard & Rachel were married in 1757 or 1758, this Richard York was
probably born 1730-1740, and would probably fall in the 5th generation from the
1st Richard York. It appears that he would have to be a grandson of Richard 3
& Susanna Goodwin, or of John 3 & Phaltiel Folsom, or of Benjamin 3 & Sarah
Pinder. It is also possible he came from Maine of Mass. We have no proof that
David York is the s/o Richard & Rachel, but it seems probable.]
