1732 - William Busse is listed on Durham tax list with no males over 16 in
the household except himself [Holbrook, NH 1732 Census].
1733 - the town of Dover distributed among its inhabitants most of the
remaining public lands. John Buzzell received a full share in this
distribution, and his sons, John Jr (2/3rds), Henry (1/3rd), James (1/3rd), and
William (1/3rd) received partial shares [Hurd, Hist. of Rockingham & Strafford
Cos, p797ff].
1735 - William Buzzell was paid 1-5-6 for 8.5 days work on the Truck House
on Saco River; this fort & trading post was built at Little Falls, now in

1781 Apr - Francis Drew of Madbury, yeoman, vs James Bussey & Henry Bussey,
both of Barrington; Drew claims they trespassed on his land in Barrington (the
SW half of Lot 168 in the 4th range) between 1 May & 1 Sep last, and cut down &
carried away 36 trees of 1ft or more diam; Drew wants 40s each & treble damages
amounting to 432#; the jury decided for the defendants; Drew asked for an
appeal to the Superior Court in Dover in May next [Inferior Court of Common
Pleas Vol 1773-1774 p323ff].
