Barrington in the County of Strafford and State of New Hampshire Gentleman -
Being aged and infirm of Body but of perfect mind and memory by the Goodness of
God, and calling to mind the uncertainty of this life & that it is appointed
for all men once to die, DO make and ordain this and no other to be my last
will and testament in manner and form following viz: And first of all I
recommend my Soul unto the hands of God who gave it, and my body to the earth
to be decently buried in a Chrisian like manner at the discression (sic) of my
Executor hereafter named hoping to recive (sic) the same again with Joy at the
General Resurection (sic) by the Mighty power of God - and as touching such
worldly estate with which it hath pleased God tobless me with in this Life
after mu Just debts and funeral charges are paid & satisfied I give and
bequeath in the following manner, viz: Implymiss (sic) I give unto Lydia
Bussell my dearly beloved wife the one third part of all the neat produce of my
homestead farm of every kind and nature that is raised on said farm and to be
brought to my house and barn yearly by my Executor hereafter named Likewise I
give unto my sd wife one half of my dwelling House and one third of my barn,
and fire wood sufficient to maintain one fire and said fire to be mad (sic)
yearly in a suitable manner by sd Executor - I also give to my sd wife all my
stock creatures of every kind and all my House hold furniture and my wearing
apparel with what money I leave or what debts is due to me at my decease - I
also give my said wife three Cows and six sheep and a Horse ife (sic) any Horse
I leave to be kept on said farm yearly by my Executor nd for her to dispose of
as she may see fitt (sic) so long as she remains my widow likewise the increase
of said Cow & Sheep is for my wife to dispose of as she may see fit and I also
give my sd wife the one third part of the neert (sic) income of the third of
two lots of land being No 190 & 191 in the fifth Range in sd Barrington said
produce to ___ delivered to my said House & Barn in the same manner as the
other produce is to be delivered by my said Executor. Item - I give unto my
well beloved Son William Buzel a farm in Northwood which I bought of Morris
Lampery it being in the Lot No 2 in the Eleventh range in said Town seventy
eight acres more or less all that I own in said farm with every priviledge
(sic) therunto belonging to him and his heirs forever. Item - I give unto my
well beloved Son Levi Buzel all my homestead farm with all my farming utentials
of whatsoever kind or nature - whome (sic) I likewise constitute make and
ordain my only and sole Executor of this my last will and testament I likewise
give unto the above said Levi a pew in Northwood Lore Meating (sic) house and a
small turn in a saw mill nigh to Capt. Furbers etc. together with one third
part of two Lots of Land in Barrington in the fifth range being No 190 & 191 to
be taken of (sic) the south end of said Lots of an equal width to run as far
easterly as tocontain just one third of said Lots to him and his heirs forever
he and they complying with all and every Clause & Clauses of this instrument.
Iten - I give unto my well beloved Daughter Kezia Buzel one Cow to ___ paid her
in six months from my decease by my Executor and to be maid (sic) equally to my
Daughter Lydia Buzel in every respect as to what I have given her - Likewise I
give her one room in that part of my dwelling house tha I named for her Mother
during her single life and ten pounds of good swingled flax delivered her
yearly by said Executor before named, and three sheep & to be kept yearly the
wool & increase for her own use - Likewise if sd Kezia out lives her Mother the
sd fire named for her Mother is to be Continued for her during her single life
by my sd Executor. Item - I give unto my well beloved Daughter Lydia Buzel one
Dollar having before given her her portion. Item - I give unto my well beloved
son Lemuel Buzel two thirds of two Lots of Land in Barrington in the fifth
range being No 190 & 191 begining at the easterly end of said Lots carring
(sic) the whole width of both said Lots south westerly so far as to contain the
said two thirds of the same more or less to him his heirs and assigns forever.
Item - I give to my well beloved Daughter Sarah Leighton one dollar having
before given her her portion. Item - I give unto my well beloved Daughter
Bridget Emerson one Dollar having before paid her her portion and all and every
particulor (sic) to be complied with and preformed (sic) by my Executor before

  1827 Dec 29 - the Columbia Centinel, published in Boston, notes the death of
Capt Samuel Buzzell of Barrington at age 95, date of death not specified.
  1830 Feb 13 - Will - In the name of God Amen I Kezia Buzel of Barrington in
the County of Strafford Single woman being of sound and disposing mind and
memory though of feble health do make and publish this my last will ad
testament and after commending my Soul to the mercy of God through the merits
of the Redemer (sic) - I do dispose of such worldly estate as He hath given me
in manner following: Firstly I bequeath to Kezia Leighton daughter of Isaac
Leighton one feather bed and a Cotton and wool coverlet.  Secondly - I give
bequeath to Gilman Buzel one sheep.  Thirdly - I give bequeath to Samuel R.
Buzel & George W. Buzel one Sheep to each of them.  Fourthly - I give bequeath
to Lydia R. Buzel wife of Levi Buzel Jr one Gold necklace.  Fifthly - I give
bequeath and devise to Levi Buzel Jr all the rest, residue and remainder of my
estate real and personal or mixed whatsoever and whatever it may be, to him and
his heirs and assigns forever; Lastly I do hereby nominate and appoint Levi
Buzel Jr of said Barrington sole Executor of this my last will and testament
and do hereby revoke & anul all former wills by me heretofore made.  In witness
whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the thirteenth day of
February in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and thirty.  Signed: Kezia

  Rhoda married 10 Oct 1786 William Buzzell of Northwood; this William Buzzell
lived on the North end of lot 2 of the 11th range, where he had a large farm,
which he occupied for nearly 50 years; was he not the son of Capt Samuel
Buzzell of barrington, who bought this land 7 Feb 1782?; William's name was
followed in the lists by other Buzzells, txed at 1st on polls only, as follows:
Caleb, 1st in 1809; Samuel 1st in 1812; Wm Jr 1st in 1819; John R 1st in 1827;
James 1st in 1830; Wm Jr 1st in 1819; John R 1st in 1827; James 1st in 1830;
William is said to have had a son Isreal; the farm was later owned by T P Gray,
